The St. Clair County Genealogical Society continues this project to collect, preserve, and make available for genealogical purposes, Funeral Cards for any person whose birth or death occurred in the county.

The Collection index will appear on this webpage and in the Society Quarterly, at which time copies may be requested as outlined below.

To Donate Cards to the Collection

SCCGS will archive, index, and preserve photocopies, images, or original Funeral Cards donated for this Collection by anyone.

Please download, read, and sign the Funeral Card Donation and Release Form
(requires Adobe Acrobat Reader)
Get free Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Send this signed Release, and your Cards
1. to the Society address by U.S. mail, or
2. as images by e-mail to the Funeral Card Project Director.

SCCGS will digitize or photocopy your Cards if you are not able to do so. However, SCCGS will not be responsible for loss or damage during this process. Original Cards are only returned to the donor when accompanied by a self-addressed envelope stamped with adequate postage.

To obtain copies of cards

Non-members may request digital or paper copies for a small fee. Fill out the Funeral Card Request Form.

SCCGS Members may receive free digital images of any Card in the Collection. Limit two (2) Cards per request.

Provide us with

a. Your Member Code Number, located in the upper left corner of your mailing label
b. The name and date died for each Card desired, as shown in the Funeral Card Database.
c. Send yourrequest for Digital Funeral Card.

Paper copies are available for a small fee. Fill out the Funeral Card Request Form.
